There is a known user interface bug during the enrollment process on Chromebooks running Chrome OS 112+ which makes the device appear to be indefinitely stuck at the enrollment screen. After performing a powerwash, the device will begin the automatic re-enrollment process, as expected. Within ~30 seconds, the device will complete enrollment and display "Enterprise enrollment complete". However, the enrollment confirmation screen only appears for about 1 second; and is immediately replaced by the previous device enrollment screen which will persist indefinitely until the user presses the Esc key.
